The Virgin Group CEOs visit us in Johannesburg!
On Thursday 8th March joint Virgin Group CEOs Josh Bayliss and David Baxby, visited the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship in Johannesburg for the first time. The afternoon was filled with excitement as they participated in an interactive mentoring session with Branson Centre entrepreneurs, South African business leaders and local Virgin businesses. Valuable insights were shared and the Branson Centre entrepreneurs all left the afternoon invigorated to act on some of the advice given and advance their businesses. Who better to tell the story of the afternoon than Zanele Nyembe, our new Branson Centre Entrepreneur Co-ordinator – you can also meet her on the video – just click on the link at the bottom of this article!
“It is my hope that when you hear the catchphrase “speed-mentoring”, the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship comes to mind. This is one of the signature techniques we use to empower and enthuse entrepreneurs at the Centre.
Tracey Webster, Branson Centre CEO, welcomed everyone to the Centre and then the speed-mentoring session got underway. Feeling the energy in the room and watching as ideas were bounced around, ears listening, notes taken, heart-felt advice given and business cards exchanged, I marvelled at the worth of people giving their time. Not only were our entrepreneurs getting insights as one of them said after the event “I am so happy, for the mentors at my table were a perfect-match-from-heaven”, but our guests were also inspired by the business men and woman who are supported by the Branson Centre.
It is the Branson Centre culture to turn every event into a sharing, learning and inspirational experience, that is why when we fill a room with business leaders from corporate South Africa and beyond, add a splash of good vibe and the brilliant and brave Branson Centre entrepreneurs - HOPE comes out, and hope for all.” – Zanele Nyembe, Entrepreneur Co-ordinator at the Branson Centre, Johannesburg.
Our shiny new Centre is now open and we are accepting rolling applications so...
